Job Description
- Role Overview:
As a GIT Full Stack Developer at Colgate-Palmolive, you will be part of a dynamic developer community working on building a new age eCommerce platform. Your role as a Senior Individual Contributor will involve designing, developing, and supporting robust, scalable, and high-performance applications to enhance eCommerce operations. You will collaborate closely with product managers and digital team members to understand requirements and develop applications, microservices, frontends, APIs, and integrate them to build distributed systems. Your willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with current frameworks is crucial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop secure web applications for eCommerce platforms operating on the Headless paradigm and storefront implementations
- Contribute to solutioning and designing new integrations for the sites
- Improve site reliability, assist with site upgrades, and enhance build process efficiency
- Design complex integrations including middleware services
- Collaborate with team members of diverse technical backgrounds to solve digital problems effectively
- Conduct code reviews, offer quality feedback, and mentor junior resources when necessary
- Contribute to overall program maturity and platform development
- Share knowledge with team members to drive platform resilience and operational excellence
- Stay updated with serverless deployment landscapes and cloud platforms
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Maths, or Engineering disciplines
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in large-scale platform-level frontend development
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading end-to-end backend design and implementations
- Good understanding of modern JS frameworks, preferably Node stack with Typescript

- Familiarity with front end frameworks like React/Next or Vue/Nuxt
- Experience with testing frameworks like Mocha, Jest and caching strategies like MemCache/Redis
- Proficiency in creating Rest and/or GraphQL APIs with Node.js
- Knowledge of SQL/No-SQL DBs, query performance optimization, and queue processing/brokering
- Working knowledge of Git, debugging, performance monitoring, benchmarking, and testing tools
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of other backend programming languages, additional types of DB, data privacy concepts, cyber security, middleware platforms, and ECommerce domain
