Job Description

As a Chapter Lead for Fraud and Scams Technology in Platform Engineering (SRE) based in Bangalore, you will be part of the Fraud Technology team under Group Operations Technology. The team is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the Group's Fraud technology platform, which aims to provide world-class fraud prevention and detection services to safeguard CBA and the wider community.
Your role will involve managing a small team of Platform Engineers, assisting them with goal setting, performance management, career development, and engagement. You will support the development of a positive engineering culture, ensure adherence to standards and technical quality, and guide the team in solving complex technical problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, lead, and inspire a team of Platform Engineers
- Empower the team to manage their work effectively, address technical issues, and respond to queries
- Provide coaching to Engineers and establish mechanisms for peer learning and mentoring
- Role model a culture of engineering empowerment, autonomy, and constructive challenge
- Communicate with senior management and stakeholders to ensure clarity in execution
- Communicate Engineering Practice standards and ways of working that align with industry standards
- Allocate time for code review, refactoring, and tech debt elimination
Essential Skills:
- 14+ years of experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience managing a team of 10-15
- Strong background in infrastructure projects
- Deep understanding of Site Reliability Engineering practices

- Experience in LINUX and Windows administration
- Hands-on experience with DevOps toolsets like Jenkins, Grafana, Ansible, Prometheus, Splunk, Git, Hashicorp, and Artifactory
- Strong knowledge of large-scale enterprise architectures in cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Advanced knowledge of DevOps Delivery Pipelines
- Experience with at least 2 ETL products
Education Qualification:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering in Computer Science or Information Technology
