IT Administrator

Job Summary:
The IT Administrator is responsible for maintaining the organizations IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of systems, networks, and hardware. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, managing user access, and supporting daily IT operations across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across platforms
Ensure data security, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans are in place
Provide technical support to staff via helpdesk, email, or in-person
Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure timely upgrades or replacements
Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures
Coordinate with vendors for procurement and support services
Document system configurations, updates, and incident resolutions
Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux systems, networking, and cloud platforms
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and tools
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar are a plus
