Business Head - Micro LAP - Banking/Financial Services

Role Overview:

The Business Head for Micro LAP (Loan Against Property) will spearhead the strategic expansion and sales operations for the North and South regions. This leadership position involves managing high-performing regional teams to drive the acquisition of secured loan portfolios while ensuring strict adherence to credit quality and risk parameters. You will act as a key stakeholder, collaborating with senior leadership to define market entry strategies, optimize distribution channels, and ensure the sustainable growth of the Micro LAP business unit. Your efforts will directly influence the company's market share and profitability in the competitive mortgage lending landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies for the Micro LAP segment to achieve aggressive disbursement and revenue targets across North and South India.

• Lead and mentor zonal sales teams, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability to ensure consistent achievement of business KPIs.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners, distributors, and internal credit teams to streamline the loan origination and approval process.

• Monitor regional market trends and competitor activities to proactively adjust sales tactics and maintain a competitive edge in the secured lending space.

• Oversee the end-to-end sales lifecycle, from lead generation and sourcing to final disbursement, ensuring compliance with organizational credit policies and regulatory standards.

• Drive portfolio quality by implementing robust monitoring mechanisms and ensuring that the sales team focuses on high-intent, credit-worthy borrowers.

Required Skillset:

• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale sales operations within the mortgage or secured loan industry, with a deep understanding of the Micro LAP product ecosystem.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across geographically dispersed locations, maintaining high levels of engagement and operational efficiency.

• Exceptional analytical skills to interpret financial data, assess market potential, and translate insights into actionable business development plans.

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and managing complex partner relationships effectively.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, with a track record of scaling business units and delivering consistent year-on-year growth.

• Professional maturity to handle the complexities of regional operations, with a willingness to travel as required to oversee business activities in Hyderabad, Indore, or Jaipur.

• A minimum of 15 to 24 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector, specifically within the LAP or mortgage domain.
