Site Engineer Civil / Mechanical (Launching Girder) – Nagpur Metro

Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra

Experience:5+ Years (Mandatory in Launching Girder / Metro Viaduct)

Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma – Civil or Mechanical Engineering

Project: Nagpur Metro / Metro Rail Viaduct Works

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer (Civil/Mechanical) with strong exposure to Launching Girder (LG) activities for metro viaduct construction. The candidate must have hands-on experience in handling LG operations, segment erection, and safety compliance at site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Launching Girder operations for metro viaduct construction.
  
• Execution and monitoring of U-girder / Box girder launching.
  
• Ensure safe and accurate erection, alignment, stressing, grouting and final setting.
  
• Coordinate with contractor, safety team, and quality team for smooth execution.
  
• Review and interpret drawings, method statements, and work procedures.
  
• Daily monitoring of site activities and reporting progress.
  
• Resolve technical/site issues and escalate critical matters.
  
• Ensure quality, safety, and adherence to metro construction standards.
  
• Support inspections with client/consultant (MAHA Metro / GC).
  
• Maintain site documentation, checklists, and daily logs.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in metro/bridge construction.
  
• Must have hands-on experience with Launching Girder operations.
  
• Strong knowledge of segmental viaduct, heavy lifting, and erection works.
  
• Understanding of safety protocols for LG & heavy equipment.
  
• Good communication and coordination skills.
  
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and challenging site conditions.
