Billing Accountant

Salary: 7000 AED per month

Employment Type: Contractual Basis

We are seeking an experienced Billing Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will take ownership of customer billing processes across multiple international entities, ensuring invoices are raised accurately, customer accounts are maintained, and billing deadlines are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Manage the accounts receivable ledger and monitor customer balances.
• Proactively follow up on overdue accounts via email and telephone.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers while ensuring timely collections.
• Resolve customer billing and account queries professionally and efficiently.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.
• 
  Allocate incoming receipts and maintain accurate customer records.
• Prepare customer statements and ageing reports.
• Coordinate with the Sales, Warehouse, and Finance teams to resolve order and billing issues.
• Escalate high-risk accounts where necessary.
• Assist with month-end accounts receivable closing activities.
• Ensure all customer communications are handled professionally and promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Customer Service.
• Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
• Strong telephone manner with confidence in dealing with customers professionally.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly desirable.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with international or multi-company environments.
• Familiarity with VAT and sales invoicing requirements.
