Business Central Expert - Contract Accountant

This is a 2 months, full-time, hybrid role based in Dubai for a Business Central Expert - Contract Accountant.

The role involves managing and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for finance and accounting workflows, including configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the system.

The Contract Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting tasks such as general ledger entries, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and month-end and year-end closing procedures.

The position includes preparing financial reports and analyses, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards.

The role also involves collaborating closely with operations, sales, and management teams to translate business needs into effective Business Central processes, troubleshooting system issues, training internal users, and supporting process documentation and audits.

Qualifications

• Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, document processes clearly, and provide user training on Business Central.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or Contract Accountant, with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
• High proficiency with Excel and other financial analysis tools; ability to work with large data sets and reconciliations.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
