Role Overview :
The Regional Sales Head will drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and lead strategic sales initiatives across the BFSI segment in Chennai. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep domain expertise, strong industry relationships, and a proven ability to sell data analytics and cloud-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Development & Strategy :
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy targeting BFSI clients (banks, NBFCs, asset management firms, brokerages, exchanges).
- Identify high-value target accounts and emerging opportunities within financial services.
- Leverage existing relationships to drive new business and market penetration.
Revenue Generation & Sales Leadership :
- Own the complete sales lifecycle : lead generation, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Consistently meet and exceed revenue targets and sales KPIs.
Relationship Management :
- Build and nurture relationships with CXOs, trading heads, risk heads, CIOs, and other key stakeholders.
- Utilize a strong rolodex within BFSI ecosystem.
- Position the company as a trusted partner in data analytics and digital transformation.
Cross-functional Collaboration :
- Collaborate with product, marketing, pre-sales, and delivery teams to create tailored solutions.
- Ensure seamless execution and high customer satisfaction across engagements.
Market Intelligence & Insights :
- Stay updated on trends in BFSI markets (trading analytics, risk & compliance, regulatory reporting, ESG, digital transformation).
- Track competitive landscape and identify whitespace opportunities.
Product & Customer Feedback :
- Provide insights to product teams based on client needs in trading, risk, compliance, and analytics use cases.
- Support development of solutions relevant to BFSI clients.
Optimization & Growth :
- Drive improvements in sales processes, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Enhance client engagement strategies and long-term account growth.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent preferred.

- 15+ years of experience in business development or sales within BFSI.
- Proven track record of selling data analytics, AI/ML, or cloud-based solutions.
- Strong understanding of the BFSI ecosystem.
- Experience working with banks, brokerages, asset managers, hedge funds, or exchanges
