2. Experience
Total Experience Required: 10 to 13 years
(Relevant experience in property documentation, commercial contracts, and litigation support)
3. Job Purpose
To manage legal property documentation, land due diligence, and commercial contract processes for assigned businesses, while supporting litigation documentation and strengthening legal documentation systems through digitization, CMS compliance, and process improvements.
4. Key Responsibilities
A. Contract Drafting & Commercial Legal Support
- Draft, vet, and finalize commercial contracts for assigned business units (including Dhaksha and Fertilizer BU).
- Incorporate stakeholder inputs, risk mitigation clauses, and compliance requirements into contracts.
- Support contract template standardization initiatives for recurring agreement types.
- Ensure timely turnaround and legal quality of commercial documentation.
B. Property Documentation & Due Diligence
- Review property title documents and conduct legal due diligence for land and property matters.
- Manage certified copies, lease regularization, mutation, encumbrance checks, and title regularization processes.
- Identify land-related legal risks and advise on mitigation measures.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of property-related legal documentation.
C. Litigation Documentation & Counsel Coordination
- Provide documentation support for litigation matters, including draft replies, affidavits, and filings.
- Coordinate with external advocates and internal business teams for timely submission of litigation documents.
- Support compliance with court procedures and litigation timelines.
D. Legal Documentation & CMS Management
- Maintain and update contract repositories and legal files in the Contract Management System (CMS).
- Ensure version control, cross-referencing accuracy, and structured documentation.
- Support digitization of legacy legal documents and improve documentation accessibility.
- Suggest and support process improvements in CMS usability and tracking of legal commitments.
E. Stakeholder Coordination & Knowledge Sharing
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide legal documentation support.
- Identify opportunities for legal training, documentation best practices, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Support internal legal audits and documentation reviews.

5. Key Performance Indicators (Indicative)
- Number of contracts reviewed and adherence to defined turnaround times.
- Accuracy and timeliness of property legal documentation (certified copies, due diligence, regularization).
- Timely submission of litigation-related documentation to external counsel.
- CMS usage rate, documentation accuracy, and update frequency.
- Adoption percentage of standardized contract templates.
- Participation in legal documentation audits.
- Stakeholder satisfaction with legal support and responsiveness.
