Role Overview
CricTracker is looking for fast, creative, and sports-savvy Video Editors who can produce high-impact short-form sports content for digital platforms.
The ideal candidate should have experience editing short-form sports videos, highlights, reels, and social media content with quick turnaround times, particularly during live matches and tournaments.
This role requires strong storytelling, quick editing ability, social-media-first thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced sports news environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Edit cricket highlights, match moments, analysis clips, and sports news videos.
• 
  Create short-form content (1560 seconds) for platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
• Ensure videos have strong hooks within the first 3 seconds to maximize viewer retention.
• Add captions, transitions, motion graphics, and sound effects to enhance engagement.
• Optimize videos for multiple aspect ratios (9:16, 16:9, 1:1) across digital platforms.
• Convert long-form videos into multiple short-form clips for social media distribution.
• Maintain fast turnaround times during live matches, breaking news, and tournaments (IPL, ICC events).
• Collaborate closely with the content, social media, and graphics teams to maintain brand consistency.
• Maintain organized project files and media libraries for efficient editing workflows.
  

Experience

• 14 years of video editing experience.
• Freshers with strong short-form editing portfolios may also apply.

Qualifications
Required Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Working knowledge of After Effects or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong experience editing short-form vertical videos.
• Understanding of video pacing, storytelling, and audience retention.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and high-volume publishing cycles.
• Basic understanding of cricket and sports content formats.
• Preferred Skills (Industry Trend Skills)
• Experience with AI video tools.
• Familiarity with CapCut for fast short-form edits.
• Ability to create animated text overlays and motion graphics.
• Understanding of social media algorithms and viral video formats.
• Experience working with sports highlights, news clips, or live event coverage.
