You will not spend time producing stale budget reports or depending on business intelligence teams. Instead, you will design the financial models, operational dashboards, and control frameworks that deliver the clarity operators and leadership require to act with confidenceevery day. Your deliverables will influence everything from new school openings to enterprise-level strategic shifts, and they must be precise, timely, and reliable.
You will oversee a real-time, AI-enhanced finance infrastructure. This includes unified P&L modeling across every school and business vertical. Continuously updated 1218 month forecasts that remain current within 72 hours. Executive dashboards engineered to highlight the critical two or three performance drivers. AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Copilot will be integral to your workflow, enabling faster analysis and removing operational friction. You are not tasked with creating infrastructure from the ground upyou will leverage available technologies to accelerate execution.
This role is not suited for operations managers who thrive in structured, hierarchical environments. It is intended for finance professionals dissatisfied with bureaucratic inertia and drawn to velocity. You apply AI tooling to compress cycle times and expect your financial models to inform execution, not merely document history. You will not observe from the periphery. You will occupy a central position in how this organization moves forward.
What You Will Be Doing

• Construct and maintain live 3-statement financial models for every school and vertical, integrating enrollment trends, staffing plans, and capital expenditure into unified forecasts.
• Refresh rolling 1218 month forecasts on a weekly cadence, incorporating the most current data and stress-testing upside and downside scenarios.
• Produce executive dashboards powered by live data feeds that isolate key performance levers and support daily, high-conviction decision-making.
• Deploy AI tools to streamline analytical workflows, identify data anomalies, monitor budget variances, and remove manual bottlenecks from finance operations.
• Author concise executive memos that distill financial exposure, strategic alternatives, and budget trade-offs to board-ready standards, delivered within 72 hours.
  

What You Wont Be Doing

• Running protracted budget cycles or generating reports that sit unused your forecasts adapt with the business in real time, and your outputs influence decisions within days.
• Administering cost center compliance or tracking expense receipts you are focused on insight and governance, not administrative overhead.
• Relying on BI teams for deliverables you design and deploy your own dashboards, tools, and models.
• 
  Getting lost in irrelevant detail your mandate is to surface the small number of insights that shift outcomes.
• Engineering automation platforms from zero you will apply AI tools to accelerate delivery, not develop technical infrastructure.
  

Vice President Of Finance Operations Key Responsibilities
Provide continuously updated financial models, forecasts, and executive dashboards that enable daily operational decisions and strategic visibility across an expanding multi-school network.
Basic Requirements

• Willing to work at least 3 hours of daily overlap with US business hours (08:00 - 17:00 US EST / UTC-5)
• 5+ years in investment banking, private equity, Big 4 corp finance/M&A (not audit), or high-growth FP&A
• Proven experience building integrated 3-statement models tied to U.S. GAAP
• Comfortable delivering investor-grade analysis and recommendations under tight deadlines
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) to accelerate financial analysis, document generation, and data processing

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
