Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Manager - Business Development

Department: Business Development

Location: North Region (covering North & East India)

Role Summary:

The candidate will support the retail expansion of the brand by identifying and evaluating new

property opportunities across North and East India. The role involves coordinating with landlords,

brokers, and vendors, negotiating commercial terms, and working closely with internal teams such

as Operations, Legal and Projects for store finalization and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate potential retail properties across the North and East regions.

Conduct market visits to shortlist suitable locations as per business requirements.

Negotiate commercials, rental terms, and agreements with property owners and developers.

Liaise with the Legal team for documentation, agreement drafts, and final sign-offs.

Coordinate with the Projects team for timely store handover and fit-out execution.

Maintain and update a database of potential properties, brokers, and landlords.

Support in preparing feasibility reports and business proposals for management approval.

Track market trends, competitor locations, and new mall developments.

Presenting the shortlisted properties to the Management for approvals.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of retail property selection and commercial negotiations.

Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Knowledge of lease agreements and retail store operational requirements.

Ability to multitask and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Self-driven with strong follow-up and execution capability.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Real Estate, or related field is preferred.

4-6 years of experience in Business Development, Retail Expansion, or Leasing.

Prior experience in the retail industry is a must.

Willingness to travel extensively within North and East India.
