Job Description
- You will be joining the Sport & Physical Activity team at the University of Southampton on a mission to create an inclusive, sustainable, and empowering physical activity experience for students and staff. Your role as a Sport Development Connector will involve supporting the delivery of recreational sport programs, engaging with local schools and community groups, and providing operational support across sporting facilities. This dynamic position is crucial for contributing to the University's Active-for-All 2031 plan.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver informal and social sport programs within facilities and community locations.
- Provide support in-club and outreach activities.
- Establish relationships with local schools and colleges to enhance recruitment and civic engagement.
- Collect feedback and assess program success against set targets.
- Offer operational support, including facility checks, safety procedures, and in-club coordination.
**Qualifications Required:**
- Experience in sport development, outreach, or recreational activity delivery.
- Passion for promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and active lifestyles.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse groups.
- Proactive and flexible approach to working across facilities and initiatives.
