Role Overview:

We're hiring a Senior Manager to lead one of our sector research teams within the Financial Data C Delivery business unit. The team you'd be running has 20+ analysts and the work spans the full earnings cycle extraction, structuring, QA and delivery.

This isn't a role where you inherit a finished machine. We're still building a lot of the infrastructure workflows, automation, team structure and we need someone who's done this before and has views on how it should be done. You'll have real authority to make changes and you'll be expected to use it.

You would report into senior leadership and work closely with our product and technology teams. The client-facing implications of your team's output are direct, so there's no insulation from the consequences of quality issues which also means you'll see the impact of getting things right.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

- Manage a 20+ analyst team covering a specific sector on a day-to-day basis

- Run structured performance reviews and build clear career paths for junior, mid, and senior analysts

- Lead hiring and onboarding, from resume review through the first 90 days of a new hire.

- Shape the culture of the research function, including feedback, error handling, and standards of excellence.

Research Quality & Output:

- Own the accuracy and completeness of all team outputs across earnings seasons, corporate filings, and ongoing coverage

- Set and reinforce quality standards, ensuring analysts understand both expectations and their importance in a capital markets context.

- Track earnings calendars, coverage gaps, and bandwidth to ensure the team is well-positioned ahead of peak periods.

Process & Automation:

- Review and refine SOPs where they become inefficient, driving improvements with strong process judgment and team buy-in.

- Partner with product and engineering to identify automation opportunities in extraction, QA, and model updates.

- Work cross-functionally with client success and senior leadership to translate client needs into research priorities.

Skills & Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in equity research, financial data delivery, or a closely related field, within organizations where research output is the core product

- At least 2 years managing teams of 20+, with hands-on experience handling performance issues, capacity planning, and team development at scale.

- Strong grounding in financial statements, earnings analysis, and sector-specific modelling, with an understanding of how buy-side and sell-side professionals use this data

- Proven track record of driving meaningful process improvements, including identifying broken workflows, redesigning them, and delivering measurable impact.

- Experience with automation in research or data workflows, through proprietary tools, RPA platforms, or collaboration with engineering teams

- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders and articulate research methodology and quality standards effectively

- MBA/postgraduate qualification from a strong institution or CFA charter preferred, but not mandatory for otherwise strong candidates

Good to have:

- Background in a high-growth or scaling startup environment, with experience building processes rather than inheriting them.

- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Bloomberg, AlphaSense, LSEG Refinitiv, FactSet, or SCP Capital IQ

- Exposure to AI-assisted research tools or structured data tagging workflows

- Sector expertise in at least one area within the primary GICS classification
