DPS Jagdalpur is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing the financial operations of our institution, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, policies, and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and present findings to management.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure internal controls and financial procedures are followed.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize financial operations.
- Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial data for audits and work closely with auditors during the audit process.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, implementing necessary adjustments as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or ACCA are preferred.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably in an educational institution or a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
