About the Role:

1. AI & Machine Learning Data Support

• Feature Engineering: Collaborate with AI Engineers to identify, extract, and transform clinical and non-clinical variables (features) from Epic and other systems into machine learningready formats.
• Vector Database Management: Support the implementation of vector stores within Microsoft Fabric to enable Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for clinical and non-clinical LLMs.
• Real-time AI Triggers: Configure Rhapsody/BizTalk to trigger AI model scoring based on specific HL7 events.
• Model Monitoring Data: Build pipelines to capture AI model outputs and feed them into clinical and non-clinical workflows or monitoring dashboards for performance tracking.

2. Advanced Integration

• High-Velocity Streams: Develop and maintain real-time interfaces via Rhapsody and BizTalk to handle high-volume telemetry and data for real-time AI monitoring.
• Standardization for AI: Map diverse legacy data formats to standardized structures to ensure AI models receive clean, interoperable, and high-quality data.

3. Data Engineering & Microsoft Fabric Ecosystem

• Fabric Lakehouse Design:
  
  Design, build, and optimize Lakehouse architecture in Microsoft Fabric for AI training and historical analysis.
• Epic Clarity Data Mining: Perform advanced data extraction from Epic Clarity to build longitudinal patient records for retrospective AI model validation.
• Pipeline Automation: Use Fabric Data Factory to automate AI training dataset refreshes, ensuring models remain current and free from data drift.

What You'll Bring

Integration

• Hands-on experience with Rhapsody and BizTalk Server.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 v2 and FHIR.
• Experience with JSON/REST API integration for AI model endpoints.

Data Platform & EHR

• Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory and OneLake.

  Experience with Epic Clarity (Cogito certification preferred).
• Working knowledge of OneLake Shortcuts, Vector Search, and Spark Notebooks.
• Experience working with Epic Flowsheets and Clinical Notes data.

Programming & Languages

• Strong skills in SQL, JavaScript, and Python (PySpark).
• Knowledge of Pandas and NumPy for data preparation and transformation.

AI & Data Collaboration

• Familiarity with CI/CD for data pipelines (DataOps).
• Understanding of MLOps concepts, including data labeling and model lifecycle workflows.
