Senior Acoustic Consultant Kochi, India

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Acoustic Consultant to lead and deliver acoustic, noise, and vibration consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of projects based in our Kochi, India office. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex assignments, providing technical leadership, mentoring junior team members, and building strong client relationships.

This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile developments across commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, education, transportation, and industrial sectors, contributing to innovative and sustainable acoustic solutions from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of acoustic consultancy services, including environmental noise assessments, building acoustics design, room acoustics, and vibration studies.
• Develop and review acoustic models, calculations, technical reports, and design recommendations.
• Provide expert advice on noise control, sound insulation, building services noise, and acoustic performance requirements.
• Ensure project deliverables meet applicable standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Review and approve technical work prepared by junior consultants and engineers.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate project activities with architects, engineers, planners, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Attend client meetings, site inspections, workshops, and technical reviews.
• Mentor and support junior acoustic consultants and graduate engineers.
• Contribute to the development of technical standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
• Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing team culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Acoustics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of design experience in acoustic consultancy.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex acoustic projects from inception to completion.
• Advanced knowledge of building acoustics, environmental noise, vibration assessment, and acoustic design.
• Proficiency in acoustic modelling and prediction software such as CadnaA, Odeon, INSUL, EASE or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of relevant international standards and acoustic regulations.
• Excellent report-writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience of working on Middle East projects.
