Junior Accountant

Job Summary:

The Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations within the context of an architectural firm. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment. Salary will be based on candidates experience and will roughly range from 12k to 17k

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents specific to architectural projects.

• Monitor cash flow related to architectural projects and assist in cash management to ensure proper allocation of funds.

• Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for architectural projects, providing insights to management on financial performance.

• Perform monthly and annual financial closing activities for architectural projects, including journal entries and reconciliations.

• Collaborate with project managers to track project expenses, ensure proper billing, and provide financial insights tailored to architectural projects.

• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for architectural projects, considering the unique aspects of the industry.

• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors, focusing on architectural project details.

• Stay current with accounting regulations and standards within the context of architectural firms to ensure compliance.

• • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within architectural financial workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.

• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with experience in architectural or related industries.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations, tailored to the architectural field.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within an architectural context.
