Job Description
- We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation Engineer & Quantity Surveyor to join our architectural team. The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, material take-offs, and quantity surveying, along with a solid background in architectural design and proficiency in AutoCAD. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate project costing and effective design integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for architectural and interior projects.
Conduct quantity take-offs from architectural drawings, specifications, and designs.
Analyze architectural plans to determine quantities and cost of materials, labor, and time.
Collaborate with design and project teams to support project planning and budgeting.
Evaluate contractor quotations and assist in tender analysis.
Monitor project costs during execution and update cost reports accordingly.
Assist in value engineering and cost optimization exercises.
Support in drafting and revising design drawings using AutoCAD.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and technical data.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimation Engineer, preferably in an architectural or interior design firm.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design or quantity surveying software (MS Excel, Bluebeam, etc.).
Strong understanding of architectural drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of local construction materials, standards, and pricing.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
