Device Production Manager

Role & responsibilities

The Device Production Manager is responsible for planning, supervising, and optimising the end-to-end manufacturing and grid intelligence devices, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and cost-efficient production. This role is central to delivering reliable devices for utilities, industries, and large infrastructure customers where uptime, accuracy, and field ruggedness are critical. This role ensures on-time delivery, high-quality output, and smooth coordination between R&D, supply chain, manufacturing floor, and field deployment teams.

The role spans in-house assembly & testing, as well as manufacturing through external contract manufacturers (CMs).

Preferred candidate profile

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electronics device assembly, PCB testing, IoT hardware, communication modules, and calibration methods.
• Proven experience managing contract manufacturers and large-scale electronics builds.
• Familiarity with test equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, CT calibration tools, automated test rigs.
• Ability to lead blue-collar teams and maintain high process discipline.
• Comfort with ERP tools and batch tracking systems.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to reliability, yield improvement, and cost optimisation.

Educational & E

Educational & Experience Requirements

• Diploma/B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field.

Get Hired
• 612 years of experience in electronics production; metering, industrial IoT, or power electronics experience preferred.
• Prior experience handling both in-house teams and contract manufacturers is highly advantageous.
