Experience required:
- Prior Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of front-end Investment Banking / M&A experience in a reputed IB, boutique advisory, or corporate development team.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 3 prior deal closures (fundraises and/or M&A).
- Candidates with no prior front-end IB/M&A experience should not apply.
- Only KPO/research/equity research experience would not count towards front-end IB/M&A experience.
- Corporate development/M&A experience in leading start-ups or large institutions would count towards IB experience and are encouraged to apply.
Strong academic pedigree:
- MBA (Top US/UK MBA Grad Schools/INSEAD/IIMs/ISB)

- Top tier undergrad (IIT/BITS) & CFA (minimum L2 cleared)
- CA rank holders + CFA (L2+) + significant relevant work experience
- MBA (FMS/XLRI/SPJIMR/IMT/JBIMS & other reputed institutes) + CFA (L2+) + significant relevant work experience
Analytical Skills:
- Strong financial modelling skills (3-statement models, valuation, sensitivity/scenario analysis, accretion/dilution for M&A) non-negotiable
Strong presentation, pitch deck & IM making skills non-negotiable
Market sizing, transaction & trading comps
Understanding of financial & business concepts:
- Thorough grasp of financial concepts, ratios, valuation methods (DCF, comps, precedent transactions, LBOs, merger models, etc.)
- Intuitive understanding of business models and ability to evaluate companies from both founder and investor perspectives
Communication & mindset:
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Passion for the Indian start-up ecosystem, with strong awareness of sectoral trends
- Entrepreneurial spirit, strong initiative, and demonstrated hunger towards investments, M&A, and entrepreneurship

What will you work on:
- Interacting with founders & CXOs in evaluating both fundraising and M&A opportunities
- Leading end-to-end deal execution (fundraises + M&A) under the guidance of a deal lead
- Driving investor/buyer outreach and companyinvestor/buyer discussions
- Preparation of high-quality deal collaterals financial models, IMs, teasers, benchmarking, valuation analyses (including accretion/dilution, merger models, precedent transactions)
- Coordination of due diligence (financial, tax, legal, business) and deal documentation
- Supporting finalization of definitive agreements with investors/buyers and advisors
- Sector & industry research for deal sourcing and mandate finalization
- Preparing/updating marketing materials for clients, media, conferences, etc.
- Business development towards sourcing both fundraising and M&A transactions
- Representing Dexter at industry forums
