Gold Appraiser

Role & responsibilities

• Accurately assess the purity, weight, and quality of old gold jewelry items. Use testing equipment and industry techniques to verify authenticity and grade each item.
• Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Explain the appraisal process, the criteria used for evaluation, and provide insights into the value of their jewelry.

• Calculate the buyback or exchange value based on current gold market prices, the purity of gold. Offer competitive price compared to the current market, after getting the approval from Reporting Manager
• Maintain accurate records of all appraised items, including photos, descriptions, weights, grades, and prices offered. Ensure all transactions are properly documented and aligned with regulatory standards.
• Stay updated with market fluctuations in gold prices, industry standards, and trends in second-hand gold sales.
• Follow legal and ethical standards, including hallmarking regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) policies, and customer identification protocols as per RBI Guidelines.
