THE ROLE

This is a foundational leadership role. As the Lead AI Strategist & Architect, you will be responsible for both defining the high-level AI roadmap and rolling up your sleeves to architect and build complex, real-world systems from scratch. You will lead with vision, innovate with purpose, and execute with precisionsetting the pace for a world-class AI team and platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Architecture & Strategy

• Define and evolve our AI strategy in phases: internal transformation ? productization -> innovation leadership.
• Architect scalable and secure AI systems that align with business goals and ethics.
• Evaluate and implement advanced technologies including LLMs, generative AI, and agent-based systems.

Solution Development & Delivery

• Design and deploy AI solutions for internal workflows, customer-facing tools, and predictive analytics.
• 
  Lead hands-on development of prototypes and production-ready applications.
• Set up robust data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and MLOps practices.

Research & IP Creation

• Identify high-impact research opportunities and turn them into tangible applications.
• Develop proprietary models and contribute to the creation of AI intellectual property.
• Represent the division in academic and industry forums.

Team Building & Leadership

• Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing AI team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Define performance frameworks and champion engineering excellence.

Ecosystem & Partnerships

• Represent the AI vision externally and establish Divyasree as a thought leader.
• Forge partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and global AI innovators.
• Promote open-source contributions and community engagement.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments
• Demonstrated expertise across multiple AI domains (NLP, computer vision, generative AI, etc.)
• Strong software engineering background with proficiency in Python and relevant AI frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices

• Track record of successful end-to-end project delivery from concept to production
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in AI, Machine Learning, or a related discipline
• Experience implementing AI solutions across diverse business functions
• Hands-on experience with generative AI, LLMs, and agent-based systems
• Contributions to open-source projects or research publications in AI-related fields
• Experience with vector databases, knowledge graphs, and semantic search technologies
• Knowledge of data privacy, security, and ethical considerations in AI implementation
