We extract data from documents, validate it against business rules, and push it into ERPs and CRMs, eliminating manual data entry and errors. Were a small, fast-moving team building a category-defining product from the ground up.

Role Overview

Were looking for a QA Engineer who can own quality end-to-end, from understanding product requirements to shipping bug-free releases. Youll be responsible for both manual and automated testing across our web platform and APIs. This is not a follow the test case role. Youll need to think like a user, break things creatively, and build automation that keeps our product reliable as we ship fast.

If youve never worked in a startup before, this role is probably not for you. We need someone who thrives without hand-holding, figures things out independently, and communicates clearly when something is broken or unclear.

Key Responsibilities

• Own quality for assigned features from dev-complete through release

• Perform manual, exploratory, and regression testing across web and API layers

• Write and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or similar tools

• Test APIs independently using tools like Postman

• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and evidence

• Maintain and update test cases, checklists, and regression suites

• Collaborate with engineering and product to understand requirements and user flows

• Contribute to building and improving our test automation framework

• Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test runs

Required Experience

• 2+ years of professional QA experience

• 2+ years of hands-on test automation experience

• Experience with API testing (Postman or equivalent)

• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced product environment with a small team

• Experience working in Agile/sprint-based development environments

Required Skills

• Strong manual testing fundamentals including exploratory, regression, and edge case thinking

• Proficiency in at least one automation framework (Playwright preferred, Selenium/Cypress accepted) • Comfortable writing scripts in JavaScript or Python

• Ability to independently test features without detailed step-by-step instructions

• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

• Ability to read and understand code changes and pull requests at a high level

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Playwright specifically

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build workflows

• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, Linear, or similar)

• Experience testing AI/ML-powered products or document processing workflows
