Job Description
DXC Technology is seeking a skilled Software Engineer – AI / Full Stack to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications and microservices.
The successful candidate will work across the full software development lifecycle, building modern backend services, responsive web interfaces, and cloud infrastructure using AWS, C#/.NET Core, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and React.js.
This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong full-stack development capabilities, cloud engineering experience, and a solid understanding of modern microservices architectures, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and high-performance microservices.
- Develop backend services using C#/.NET Core, Node.js with TypeScript, and Python.
- Build modern, responsive, and intuitive web applications using React.js and modern JavaScript.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
- Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and AWS ECS.
- Develop serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and integrate services through AWS API Gateway.
- Design and implement data solutions using Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, and Amazon ElastiCache.
- Configure and work with AWS load-balancing and application availability services.
- Manage application configuration and operational parameters using AWS Systems Manager (SSM) and related AWS services.
- Define and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Develop robust unit tests and automated End-to-End (E2E) tests to ensure application reliability and quality.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards, coding practices, and technical design decisions.
- Monitor application and platform health, investigate production issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot performance, availability, and reliability issues across application and cloud infrastructure layers.
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams to design and deliver production-grade software solutions.
- Participate in Agile development practices, sprint planning, refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
- Share technical knowledge and contribute to continuous engineering improvement.
- Explore emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve application architecture, engineering productivity, and platform capabilities.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives and evaluate new technologies relevant to AI, cloud, software engineering, and application modernization.
Required Qualifications
Backend Development
- Strong hands-on experience developing production-grade microservices using C# and .NET Core.
- Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong programming experience with Python.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, service integration, and microservices architecture.
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and resilient backend services.
Frontend Development
- Strong hands-on experience developing web applications using React.js.
- Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience developing responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
- Understanding of frontend architecture, component-based development, and API integration.
AWS & Cloud Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with AWS ECS and Docker containers.
- Experience developing and deploying applications using AWS Lambda.
- Experience with AWS API Gateway.
- Experience working with Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon RDS.
- Experience with Amazon ElastiCache or comparable caching technologies.
- Experience with AWS load-balancing technologies.
- Experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) and related operational services.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native application architecture and distributed systems.
Infrastructure as Code
- Hands-on experience with AWS CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Experience defining, provisioning, and managing cloud infrastructure through automated and repeatable deployments.
Testing & Quality
- Strong understanding of software testing principles.
- Hands-on experience developing unit tests.
- Experience implementing automated End-to-End (E2E) testing.
- Ability to design software with testability, reliability, and maintainability in mind.
Containers & CI/CD

About Company
On April 3, 2017, Computer Sciences Corporation and Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Enterprise Services business segment combined to become DXC Technology. It was an IT company that offered services to other businesses. Under the ticker DXC, it started trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
