Chartered Accountant

EazyDiner Private Limited is seeking a highly motivated and technology-driven Chartered Accountant to join its Finance team as an Operational Manager – Accounts & Taxation. The role offers exposure to end-to-end accounting, taxation, financial reporting, e-commerce operations, AI-driven finance processes, audits, compliance management, and business partnering. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge, analytical capabilities, commercial acumen, and a keen interest in leveraging technology and automation to improve finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and financial close activities.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of books of account in compliance with Accounting Standards, Companies Act requirements, and internal financial controls.
• Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, Equalisation Levy, and other statutory compliances, including reconciliations, return filings, assessments, and audits.
• Prepare monthly MIS, management reports, variance analysis, business performance dashboards, and financial schedules.
• Support statutory audit, tax audit, internal audit, due diligence exercises, and regulatory compliance reviews.
• Drive reconciliation and accounting of high-volume e-commerce transactions, including marketplace settlements, payment gateway reconciliations, customer refunds, promotional campaigns, loyalty programs, restaurant payouts, commissions, and platform revenues.
• Partner with business, operations, product, and technology teams to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of digital commerce transactions.
• Lead process improvement initiatives through automation, workflow optimization, and implementation of scalable finance controls.
• Support deployment and monitoring of AI-enabled finance solutions for reconciliation, anomaly detection, compliance monitoring, financial reporting, data analytics, and operational efficiency.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, working capital monitoring, and strategic finance projects.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, bankers, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Direct Taxation, GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.
• Sound understanding of financial controls, audit processes, accounting standards, and financial reporting frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, Lookups, Financial Modelling, and large-data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
• Understanding of e-commerce business models, digital payment ecosystems, payment gateway settlements, and revenue accounting principles.
• Awareness of AI, automation tools, ERP systems, business intelligence platforms, and data-driven finance processes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project execution skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to ERP platforms, finance automation tools, AI-enabled accounting solutions, and data analytics platforms.
• Working knowledge of Ind AS, Indian GAAP (AS), Companies Act compliances, and technology-enabled business processes.
• Prior internship or article-ship exposure to e-commerce, technology, hospitality, marketplace, or digital platform businesses will be an added advantage.
