We are searching for an India Market Development Director | Country Manager, who will be the leader responsible for the strategic plan to take India for the next years of growth at EBANX.
EBANX started its expansion in Asia through India, and it was announced to the world in 2023. We have established the necessary infrastructure in terms of team members and presence, partnerships, advisory services and vendor management. Now is the time to take this business infrastructure to another level, enhancing our relationship with the Indian fintech, banking regulatory bodies, chambers of commerce & associations, chambers of trade, PSP and such.
Reporting to the VP of Expansion and Market Development, and also working very closely with the President of Global Payments, this Director position will have a direct and a cross functional team in India, and will also work very closely with the following teams: (i) frontline teams (New Sales, Account Management, Channels) to drive the growth of India and the achievement of main KPI (e.g. Gross Profit, Revenue, TPV) (ii) Product to make sure EBANX addresses the right verticals and needs from Indian consumers and we also achieve the right KPIs of diversification and payment mix (iii) Operations and Performance Excellence to make sure EBANX excel on our pillar of performance in the India market (availability, approval, conversion, response time, etc).
In this role, it is super important to have clarity on the EBANXs value proposition in India, why the EBANX model matters in the country, the importance of our payment portfolio, and to educate on key differences. This should be tailored per vertical to win deals and grow our operations.
Besides conquering the world, your activities will be:
- Responsible for the Key KPIs and Metrics for India, per the Business Plan for each year and targets (Revenue, Gross Profit, TPV, Merchants activation). Breakdown per verticals and sizes of merchants.
- EBANX Ambassador for India, representing our brand and company in the major events and conferences, as well as with major partners and the ecosystem
- Leading EBANX presence in Indias fintech ecosystem, identifying potential partners across our business model, and well as talent for the company
- Co-design the strategy plans for the next years with our global teams; drive the execution of these plans (ownership for the execution)
- Build, coach and lead a high-performance team aligned to Ebanxs values and culture.
- Manage highly collaborative engagements with external service providers and internal stakeholders that will guarantee the success of expansion operations.
- Educating business development and sales teams on local context in each vertical for business opportunities, regulation, payment systems and best practices.
- Contribute regional expertise to studies, benchmarks, analyses and thought leadership initiatives.
