Role Overview
EBSCO Information Services is hiring a high-performing Business Manager / Key Account Manager to drive sales of IEEE products and services across academic and government markets in South India. The role focuses on new business acquisition, key account growth, renewals, and strong customer engagement.Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth and achieve assigned sales and renewal targets.
- Develop new business in universities, engineering colleges, research institutions, and government organizations.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiation, and closure.
- Build strong relationships with librarians, faculty, researchers, and procurement stakeholders.
- Execute account plans to grow wallet share and identify upsell opportunities.
- Conduct product demos, workshops, and awareness programs to increase adoption and usage.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and CRM hygiene.

- Represent EBSCO and IEEE at conferences and institutional events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory); MBA preferred.
- 5–10 years of institutional/B2B sales or key account management experience.
- Proven success selling into academic or government segments; STM/edtech/database experience preferred.
- Mandatory fluency in Tamil and strong English communication skills.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-driven with a willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory.
