Business Manager - Karnataka


This job description outlines the role of a Business Manager in the South region (state of Karnataka), specifically in Academic and Medical Institutions. The position is sales-oriented, with a strong emphasis on direct selling, client engagement, revenue growth, and collaboration with various teams.


This is an individual sales contributor position, and for managing the sales of the entire territory.


Important Note:

Base location must be Bengaluru, and be able to communicate fluently in Kannada

Direct Sales Excellence: The individual will be responsible for selling information products and technological solutions within the higher education sector. The role requires engaging with clients through onsite visits and product presentations, necessitating strong communication skills and the ability to engage key stakeholders.


Revenue Growth: The candidate must focus on growing the region's revenue, with personal earnings tied to this growth. And the role requires meeting established sales quotas each fiscal year for products and services.


Positive Attitude:

The ideal candidate must be willing to walk the extra mile and dedicate themselves to the role. Positivity and Self-Motivation plays a crucial role.


Collaboration: The role involves working closely with marketing, training, technical, and support teams to develop and implement strategies for the assigned territory.


Additional requirements include:


Travel: The candidate should expect to travel up to 70% of the time to attend conferences, meetings, and other events.


Product Expertise: The individual should achieve an expert level of knowledge about Products and Services and act as a spokesperson.


Reporting: The candidate must complete territorial reporting, including sales call reports, competitor data, territorial strategies, sales pipelines, and expense reports every week.


Multi-Tasking: Ability to handle multiple responsibilities related to products, process and customers, logically to attain the desired business objectives.
