Role : Program Manager / Product Manager - Affluent Segment (Bank)

Our Client, a Leading Private Bank is looking out for a Program Manager - Affluent segment (Private Banking) to be based at Mumbai. The individual should have managed end to end Program Management (product / service offerings) for the HNI/ Ultra HNI clients for Large Private Banks.
We are looking at individuals who have led product/ program management for the affluent segment managing premium products and services in Large private Banks. Candidates who have managed program/ product management for premium credit cards also could be considered.
Job Purpose :
The Program Manager oversees a portfolio of strategic, high-value initiatives aimed at transforming the Private Banking and Wealth Management business. This role drives the execution of complex programs, ranging from digital client experience upgrades and regulatory compliance rollouts to platform migrations. The ideal candidate ensures delivery on time, within budget, and in strict alignment with risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Program Execution :

- Lead large-scale programs from business case formulation through deployment.
- Manage cross-functional teams across Private Banking front office, IT, Risk, Compliance, and Operations.
- Define program scope, milestones, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and critical paths.
- Allocate resources effectively across multiple interconnected project workstreams.
- Govern budgets closely, tracking actual spend against forecasts to maximize ROI.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management :
- Act as the primary liaison between executive sponsors, Steering Committees, and delivery teams.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring external software providers meet contractual SLAs.
- Communicate complex updates clearly, translating technical metrics into business impacts for C-suite leaders.
Risk, Governance & Compliance :
- Enforce compliance standards, incorporating global regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, MiFID II, CRS) into project designs.
- Identify program risks proactively, establishing mitigation plans before issues impact timelines.
- Maintain rigorous documentation, ensuring alignment with internal audit and governance structures.
Education & Certifications :
- Masters degree or MBA is highly preferred with 7-8+ years of experience in project/program management within financial services.
- 4+ years specifically within Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Asset Management.
Skills & Knowledge :
- Deep domain expertise in wealth / private banking products and services.
- Strong understanding of front-to-back banking operations, including RM tools, portfolio management systems, and clearing.
- Proficiency in project tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and Clarity PPM.
- Excellent negotiation skills to manage conflicting priorities among senior stakeholders.
