Role Overview:
The Salesforce Senior Developer – Sales Cloud & Conga CPQ will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high quality Salesforce solutions with a strong focus on the Sales Cloud ecosystem and Conga CPQ. This role requires hands on expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, declarative configuration, and CPQ configuration/automation. The Sr. Developer will collaborate with architects, leads, business stakeholders, and cross functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Salesforce Development
• Develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce components using Apex (Classes, Triggers, Batch, Schedulers), LWC, Aura, and Visualforce (where needed).
• Build scalable and reusable code following Salesforce coding standards and design patterns.
• Implement complex automation using Flows, Approvals, and declarative platform features.
2. Sales Cloud Expertise
• Configure and enhance Sales Cloud features: Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Forecasting, Products, Price Books, Activities.
• Build and support Sales process automation, Sales Path, and Guided Selling experiences.
• Collaborate with functional teams to optimize the Lead–Opportunity lifecycle.
3. Conga CPQ Specialization
• Configure and customize Conga CPQ including Products, Price Rules, Discount Schedules, Product Bundles, Constraint Rules, and Advanced Approvals.
• Develop and maintain Conga CPQ data models, assets, templates, and pricing structures.
• Build and optimize Quote-to-Cash processes integrating Sales Cloud, CPQ, and external systems.
• Troubleshoot CPQ configuration issues, performance bottlenecks, and quoting calculation errors.
• Support Conga Composer, Conga Templates, and document generation workflows where required.
4. Integration & Data Work
• Design and implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and external services.
• Work with middleware teams (MuleSoft or other ESB tools) for large-scale integrations.
• Handle complex data migrations using Data Loader, APIs, and ETL templates (Sales Cloud + CPQ related).
5. Technical Leadership
• Mentor junior developers, review code, and uphold quality and governance standards.
• Translate business/functional requirements into technical design specifications.
• Estimate development effort and contribute to sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
6. Testing & Deployment
• Build and maintain robust test classes with >85% code coverage.
• Support CI/CD processes using Git, Copado, Gearset, or similar DevOps tools.
• Participate in SIT/UAT defect resolution and production deployment cycles.
7. Documentation & Best Practices
• Maintain technical documentation, integration specs, and design artifacts.
• Ensure adherence to Salesforce and Conga CPQ best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
• Stay updated with Salesforce & Conga product releases and recommend adoption of new features.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience:
• 5–8 years of hands on Salesforce development experience.
• Strong development experience specifically with Sales Cloud.
• Minimum 1–2 years of hands on Conga CPQ implementation experience.
• Experience in at least one full-cycle Salesforce implementation as a core developer.
Technical Skills::
• Proficiency in Apex, LWC, Aura, SOQL/SOSL, and asynchronous processing.

• Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, sharing/security model, and governance limits.
• Hands-on experience with integrations (REST/SOAP, Outbound Messages, Platform Events).
• Experience configuring Conga CPQ: product modeling, pricing, bundling, rules, approvals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control (Git).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Exposure to Conga Composer, Conga Billing, or end-to-end Quote-to-Cash solutions.
• Knowledge of ETL or integration platforms (MuleSoft).
• Experience with Marketing Cloud or Experience Cloud.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and implement optimization strategies.
Education:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Certifications
• Salesforce Platform Developer I (mandatory)
• Platform Developer II (highly preferred)
• Salesforce Administrator or Sales Cloud Consultant (bonus)
• Conga CPQ Specialist or CPQ Administrator (highly preferred)
