Job Description
- Role Overview:
You will be responsible for creating and preparing MEP AUTOCAD drawings, working on Autocad/Revit/BIM drafting for both 3D modeling and 2D plans with complete detailing. The location for this role is in Chennai, and immediate joiners are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce drawings within the specified timescale and maintain high quality levels by adhering to the best Electrical and MEP engineering standards and practices. Drawings will include GFC, shop drawings, elevation layouts, as-built layouts, and coordination layouts.
- Ensure the quality of drawings meets international engineering standards, including details on layers, dimensions, clearances, clashes, and BOQ references.
- Incorporate accurate details such as client names, project stakeholder names, approval and revision details, dates, drawing status, etc., on all drawings.
- File and maintain all soft copies of drawings in the company archive for future reference.
- Prepare rough sketches and detailed work using CAD systems, perform calculations for materials and weight limitations.
- Submit drawings for approval and follow up with project team, PMC, client, and consultant.
- Communicate with engineers, incorporate knowledge gained into drawings, review and redraft alongside the engineering team.
- Ensure final designs comply with building regulations and identify potential design problems.
- Quantify all line items in the GFC, shop drawing, or as-built layout for estimation, material requisition, or project use.

- Monitor project status regularly to identify changes, work under the supervision of the Asst Manager-Design, Estimation Engineer, and perform all assigned tasks by MD/Asst. Manager-Designs.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
- BE/Diploma Engineer or training in Electrical Qualification with 4-5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Google Workspace is preferred.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, ability to work independently.
Note: Employment Type is Full Time, Permanent. Ability to commute or relocate to Chennai, Tamil Nadu is required for this role. An experience of 3 years in AUTOCAD for Electrical engineering is also required.,
