Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented professional to join our Logistics team as a Senior Executive – Transport Management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing primary transportation operations, building vendor relationships, driving cost efficiencies, and working with cross-functional teams in an FMCG setup.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic plans for the primary transportation network to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Manage Pan-India transport operations across Emami’s manufacturing units, third-party units, depots, and warehouses.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with transportation service providers as per the agreed SLAs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and implement best practices in transport management systems.
Track and manage key KPIs and performance metrics to monitor transporter performance.
Take data-driven decisions to improve delivery timelines, optimize routes, and reduce logistics costs.
Drive cost reduction initiatives and track transportation cost trends across the network.
Liaise effectively with all Emami Manufacturing Units (5 own + 32 3Ps), Depots (24+4), and cross-functional teams to ensure timely placement and delivery of goods.
Utilize SAP and Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, MIS reports) for transport tracking, reporting, and decision-making.
Required Skills & Competencies
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in transport/logistics operations, preferably in the FMCG sector.
Strong knowledge of Transport Management Systems (TMS).
Hands-on Experience In SAP (Logistics/SD/MM Module Preferred).
Advanced proficiency in Excel for reporting and data analysis.
Excellent vendor management, communication, and coordination skills.
Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.
