Data Delivery Manager – Data Science & AI Focus

We are seeking a highly technical, proactive and people-oriented Data Delivery Manager with a strong foundation in data science and AI to join our Data & Analytics practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a key member of our team, you will lead the delivery of complex data programs and projects, managing multiple workstreams across diverse domains. You will collaborate with both local and global delivery teams, leveraging your expertise in data science, cloud technologies and program management to drive impactful business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end client delivery for data science and AI projects, ensuring successful outcomes aligned with EPAM processes
• Manage client relationships and expectations, representing delivery at the governance level
• Coordinate multiple activity streams and clients, ensuring seamless delivery across finance, sourcing, implementation and business objectives
• Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams of product owners, architects, data scientists, engineers and quality assurance to drive estimates, delivery plans and retrospectives
• Proactively identify and manage engagement risks, escalating major issues early
• Participate in business development efforts for both existing clients and new projects, continuously identifying new opportunities in data science and AI

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field; Ph.D. is a plus
• Client-facing skills and business fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage
• Proficiency in data management concepts such as data governance, data quality, data integration and data lifecycle management
• Advanced experience in data science, machine learning and AI concepts, including model development, deployment and monitoring
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex data and AI projects from initiation to delivery
• Experience leading and managing teams, including hiring, mentoring and performance management
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Solid understanding of data technologies, including databases (SQL, NoSQL), data warehousing solutions (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift), ETL tools and data science platforms (e.g. Databricks, SageMaker)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data and AI-related services
• Hands-on experience implementing data delivery pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes is a plus
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design principles and statistical analysis
