Levels: KS3 | KS4 / IGCSE | KS5 / A Level | IELTS Academic
About the Project
We are building a large-scale, AI-assisted UK Curriculum Question Bank spanning Mathematics(KS3, KS4, KS5), IGCSE English and IELTS Academic and KS5/A Level (and IELTS Academic band levels). The project combines internally generated, AI-assisted content with expert academic review to ensure accuracy, curriculum alignment, correct solutions/answers, proper difficulty tagging, and overall assessment quality.
- We are hiring experienced academic experts for two roles, across three subject tracks:
- Subject Head / Peer Reviewer – Mathematics(KS3, KS4, KS5) / IGCSE English / IELTS Academic
- SME Reviewer – Mathematics / IGCSE English / IELTS Academic
- Candidates should apply for the subject track that matches their expertise.
Role 1: Subject Head / Peer Reviewer
Role Overview
The Subject Head works as a peer reviewer and final academic checker. Questions are generated internally (AI-assisted). After SME review, the Subject Head rechecks the reviewed content to validate corrections and confirm final academic quality before it moves to project-level QA.
Key Responsibilities
- Peer-review SME-reviewed questions in the assigned subject.
- Verify that SME corrections are accurate, complete, and academically sound.
- Check final correctness of questions, answers, worked solutions, and reasoning (or, for English/IELTS, model answers, mark schemes, and band-descriptor alignment).
- Confirm grade level, difficulty level, score value, question type, and exam-board suitability.
- Check topic/syllabus/knowledge-point mapping where provided in the working template.
- Identify missed errors in calculations, solution steps, notation, grammar, phrasing, equations, graphs, diagrams, audio transcripts, or figures.
- Ensure all visuals/images/graphs/diagrams/audio are academically correct, properly labelled, relevant, and clearly embedded in the final layout.
- Confirm each question is suitable for its assigned level (KS3 / KS4 / KS5 / IELTS band).
- Approve clean questions for final QA or send back items requiring correction/replacement.
- Maintain consistent academic standards across large content batches.
- Mathematics-specific: Verify calculations, equations, notation, graphs, and diagrams for accuracy.
- English-specific: Verify grammar, vocabulary, comprehension logic, literary analysis, and mark-scheme alignment; ensure British English usage and stylistic consistency.
- IELTS-specific: Verify Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking items against official IELTS band descriptors and exam specifications; where applicable, validate IELTS Listening audio tracks against transcript accuracy.
- Required Qualifications
- Degree in the relevant subject (Mathematics / English / English Language & Literature / Linguistics, or closely related field).
- Strong subject expertise across KS3–KS5 / A Level (or IELTS Academic, as applicable).
- Experience reviewing assessments, worksheets, question banks, test papers, solutions, mark schemes, or exam content.
- Strong understanding of curriculum-based educational content.
- Comfortable working with AI-assisted/internally generated content.
- Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong written communication and attention to detail.

Role 2: SME Reviewer
Role Overview
The SME Reviewer performs detailed academic review, correction, and quality improvement of AI-generated content before it moves to final peer review by the Subject Head.
Key Responsibilities
- Review internally generated questions, answers, and worked solutions/model answers in the assigned subject.
- Check academic accuracy, logic, and correctness of final answers.
- Verify grade level, difficulty level, score value, question type, and exam-board style.
- Check topic/syllabus/knowledge-point mapping where provided in the working template.
- Rework, fix, and correct content to make it error-free.
- Correct errors in equations, symbols, notation, units, grammar, phrasing, graphs, diagrams, charts, figures, or audio transcripts.
- Review and correct visual/audio issues, including wrong labels, unclear diagrams, incorrect graphs, missing elements, or mismatch with the question/solution.
- Improve wording, clarity, formatting, and assessment quality where required.
- Flag questions with major academic errors, weak solutions, repeated patterns, or poor alignment for replacement.
- Ensure British English, consistency, originality, and delivery quality across assigned batches.
- Mathematics-specific: Check mathematical accuracy, calculation steps, final answers, and solution logic; correct equations, notation, graphs, and diagrams.
- English-specific: Check grammar, vocabulary, comprehension accuracy, literary/critical analysis, and mark-scheme alignment.
- IELTS-specific: Review Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking items for accuracy and band-level alignment; where applicable, validate IELTS Listening audio tracks against exam-level specifications and transcript accuracy.
