Team Overview
We are seeking a Manager, Infrastructure to join us in our Bengaluru office. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines technical expertise with team management our System Administration, Database Administration and Desktop Support and DevOps serving as a key escalation point for these areas. The successful candidate will play a key role in both executing and guiding infrastructure operations to ensure performance, scalability, and security across our global IT environment.
The Infrastructure team is at the heart of our technology operations, responsible for maintaining the systems that underpin our business. Joining this team means stepping into a pivotal role where you will lead from the front—actively contributing to technical solutions while mentoring and developing a high-performing team. You’ll work closely with global team members to align infrastructure goals with organizational objectives while maintaining a strong focus on stability, scalability, reliability and security.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a diverse infrastructure team based in Bengaluru, including system administrators, network engineers, and other technical professionals.
- Remain actively hands-on in administering and improving IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, storage platforms, and cloud environments.
- Oversee the designing, planning, implementation, and lifecycle management of critical systems to ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability.
- Act as the main point of contact for global infrastructure alignment, ensuring consistent practices across regions.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues, leveraging your own expertise and mentoring team members through complex problems.
- Champion the use of automation tools and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies to enhance efficiency, reliability, agility, and deployment speed.
- Monitor infrastructure health, identify operational risks/bottlenecks, and drive preventive maintenance strategies.
- Lead architecture and design reviews to assess impact, scalability, and technical soundness of infrastructure solutions.
- Support the growth of team members through regular feedback, development planning, and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure adherence to IT governance, security standards, and regulatory compliance.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure Management, including at least 3 years in a formal leadership/managerial role.
- Deep hands-on experience with servers, storage, networking, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong proficiency with Linux/Unix and Windows system administration, virtualization technologies, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
- Demonstrated expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
- Proven success in diagnosing and solving complex infrastructure issues with a focus on root cause analysis, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
- Experience leading infrastructure projects such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, or business continuity implementations.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and seniority levels.
- Ability to lead by example, coach junior team members, and promote a culture of accountability and growth.
