About this opportunity:
We are thrilled to invite you to join the Ericsson team as a seasoned Cloud and Linux Administrator. Your role will involve managing and optimizing Cloud Native Infrastructure (CNIS) platforms and Cloud Container Distribution (CCD) environments. We are seeking an experienced professional with deep technical expertise across Kubernetes ecosystems, container infrastructure, SDI, networking, and Linux system administration.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Cloud and Linux Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Administering and operating CNIS platforms, including Kubernetes, container runtimes, and IaC with Ansible.
- Managing the CCD lifecycle, which involves provisioning, upgrades, backups, DR readiness, and workload onboarding.
- Performing CCD health checks, drift analysis, capacity planning, and compliance monitoring.
- Implementing observability with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and other monitoring tools.
- Maintaining documentation, runbooks, and supporting DR planning & RCA.
SDI & Networking:
- Administering SDI components such as Calico, Multus, Ceph, CSI drivers, and CNI plugins.
- Troubleshooting CNIS/SDI integration and programmable network issues.
- Managing Juniper/Extreme Networks switches, including VLANs, ACLs, trunking, and switch firmware/upgrades.
Linux Administration:
- Demonstrating expertise in RHEL system administration, LVM, multipathing, patching, and storage integration.
- Providing hardware support for HP ProLiant and Dell PowerEdge servers.
- Strong skills in performance tuning, kernel analysis, and backup management.
Process & Compliance:
- Applying ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
- Ensuring security, compliance, and operational best practices are followed.
Preferred Certifications:
- CKA / CKAD / CKS (Kubernetes)
- RHCSA / RHCE (Linux)
- Juniper / Extreme / SDN networking
- ITIL Foundation
Experience Required:
We are looking for candidates with 4-8 years of experience in Cloud and Linux Administration.,
