Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our Finance team. This role is critical for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial records, with a primary focus on the complete accounting lifecycle and meticulous management of the company's Fixed Assets (FA). The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fixed Assets (FA) Management:

• Maintain the complete fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Process the capitalization of new assets, including proper classification, tagging, and recording.
• Calculate and post monthly/periodic depreciation and amortization entries.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of fixed assets from acquisition to disposal/transfer.
• Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile with the fixed asset register.
• Handle asset transfers, impairments, and retirements, ensuring proper accounting treatment.
• 
  Prepare fixed asset schedules and reports for internal and statutory audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS) and company policies related to fixed assets.

2. Accounting & Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Reconcile bank statements and key balance sheet accounts.
• Support the accounts payable and receivable processes as needed.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

3. Compliance & Audit:

• Support both internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of internal financial controls.

4. Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the fixed asset and general accounting functions.
• Contribute to the digitization and automation of financial processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / CMA, or a Bachelors/Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, with a significant focus on fixed asset management.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Ind AS/IFRS.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle) and advanced skills in MS Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
