Job Description

This is a remote position.

Overview:
Key job responsibilities include designing enterprise-level solutions for Insurance, based on customer situations and business needs. You will be responsible for educating customers on different offerings and solutions of AWS in the context of insurance use cases. Additionally, you will participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud. The role also involves designing Insurance point solutions leveraging AWS services, authoring or contributing to AWS customer-facing publications such as blogs and whitepapers, and acting as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support. You will serve as a technical domain expert on deploying insurance workloads on AWS, architecting solutions leveraging AWS technology, including solution development, and potentially demonstrating technical feasibility through mechanisms such as proof-of-concepts and/or prototypes.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate should have 15+ years of experience within specific technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, data & analytics. A demonstrated understanding of Insurance workflow or value chains and related technologies, as well as the current and future application of cloud technologies in the insurance industry, is required. Strong experience in the Insurance industry and associated regulatory environment, along with expert knowledge of supporting applications and infrastructure, is essential. The candidate should also have an understanding of modern cloud-native application architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or technology as a service (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and the Insurance industry ISV ecosystem and key named ISV-led solutions. Experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud is a plus.
