Role Overview:

As a Team Lead for IPR and Technology Transfer, you will spearhead complex intellectual property engagements, acting as a bridge between technical innovation and commercial viability.

This role involves managing high-stakes patent portfolios, overseeing end-to-end prosecution lifecycles, and facilitating the transfer of technology between research institutions and corporate entities.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, legal counsel, and senior client stakeholders to formulate robust patent strategies that align with business objectives.

Your work will directly influence the competitive positioning of our clients by ensuring their intellectual assets are effectively protected, monetized, and leveraged for market advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the end-to-end patent prosecution process to ensure global compliance and strengthen the defensibility of client intellectual property assets.
• Lead technology transfer initiatives by identifying commercialization opportunities and negotiating licensing agreements that maximize the value of research and development investments.
• Develop and execute comprehensive patent strategies that align with the long-term business goals and market expansion plans of our clients.
• Manage complex project lifecycles, ensuring that deliverables meet stringent quality standards and are completed within defined timelines.
• Provide expert advisory services to stakeholders regarding IP landscape analysis, freedom-to-operate assessments, and portfolio optimization.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a culture of technical excellence and professional growth within the IPR practice.

Required Skillset:

• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in patent law, prosecution procedures, and the nuances of international technology licensing frameworks.
• Exhibit strong project management capabilities, with the ability to lead large-scale engagements and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Possess exceptional analytical skills to interpret complex technical disclosures and translate them into actionable IP strategies.
• Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including inventors, legal teams, and C-suite executives, to articulate complex IP concepts clearly.
• Hold a relevant degree in Engineering, Science, or Law, complemented by 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in intellectual property management.
• Adapt seamlessly to a hybrid work environment, maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration across distributed teams.
