Hiring Company : A global manufacturer and supplier of Automated Driving Systems (ADS), Electronic Transmission Products, Digitally Engineered Components, Data & Power Connector and AI-driven Mobility Solutions.
Position Overview:
We are partnering with a globally recognized manufacturing organization to identify a Director - Supply Chain who will lead the next phase of supply chain transformation and operational scale in India. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the COO, with full ownership of end-to-end supply chain strategy, operational excellence, and multi-site performance across a fast-growing and technology-driven manufacturing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the end-to-end supply chain function, including strategic sourcing, procurement, planning, logistics, inventory management, and risk mitigation.
- Develop and execute a scalable global supply chain strategy covering transportation, cost governance, financial alignment, performance management, analytics, and digital enablement.
- Direct and support all aspects of commercial order fulfillment, including order management, tracking, shipping coordination, returns management, and customer service resolution.

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with overall business objectives, with a strong focus on supply continuity, quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Define and manage key Supply Chain KPIs such as inventory performance, delivery service levels, planning accuracy, and logistics costs; identify cost drivers and implement sustainable cost-saving initiatives.
- Design and implement demand, supply, and inventory strategies that consistently support business growth and operational stability.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to align priorities and negotiate optimal business and operational trade-offs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, performance tracking, and process optimization across the supply chain network.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic vendors and suppliers through market intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain team capable of executing strategy and supporting long-term business growth.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Strong expertise in demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and portfolio planning.
- Well-rounded business acumen across finance, sales, manufacturing, logistics, and procurement.
- Proven ability to integrate advanced supply chain technologies into business processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-unit supply chain and procurement operations and building scalable systems and processes.
- 16+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, vendor management, inventory management, and production planning.
- Strong exposure to warehouse operations, logistics (including 3PL partnerships), and distribution management within a global industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP, MRP, APS, and BI/analytics tools.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Logistics is strongly preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications such as APICS / CSCP will be an advantage.
