At Fictiv, we’re building a company that is developing an operating system for sourcing custom mechanical parts. We already enjoy manufacturing and delivering highly complex, high quality parts for our Fortune 500 customers who are building the future with products like autonomous electric vehicles, surgical systems, and industrial robots. As we scale our business, we are looking to expand our growth within India.
Your role as a Logistics Specialist will be to support Fictiv India operations and drive improvement to our critical manufacturing functions. We have two sets of customers—our builders, who order parts through us, and our manufacturing partners, who manufacture and assemble these parts—and you’ll take the inputs from our builders and work with our manufacturing partners to deliver on our builders’ expectations. In this role, you’ll use your logistics and export-import operations experience to oversee the execution of Fictiv’s international and domestic shipments in various modes. Your excellent attention to detail will ensure the planning and execution of daily shipments to meet our customers’ delivery timeline expectations.
You will report to the Lead-International Logistics.
What You’ll Be Doing
Areas of Responsibility

• Coordinate the import/export of mechanical engineering parts from India to customers in the United States and other countries.
• Support India domestic B2C transportation and imports from China and other regions.
• Responsible for creating and reviewing all export and import (EXIM) documentation, including CI, PL, COO, EVD, SDF, SCOMET, SLI, AWB, BL/SWB, S.bill checklist, BOE, and E-way bill.
• Arrange bookings, pickups, and manage end-to-end shipment operations with couriers or freight forwarders via air, sea, and road.
• 
  Monitor cargo transit to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delivery issues as needed.
• Address shipping complaints, customs delays, and maintain proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and resolve any customs clearance Delays/ issues.
• Maintain import/export recordkeeping requirements.
• Arrange comprehensive logistics solutions for the costing team, including freight quotes, tariff estimates, route planning, and vessel or flight schedule planning from origin to destination.
• Coordinate warehouse operations.
• Analyze regional on-time delivery and transit time performance, and suggest improvements to enhance performance.
• Verify and process freight bills and conduct regional freight cost analysis.
• Collaborate with customs house agents (CHA), transporters, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure efficient and cost-effective shipment execution.
• Work with Fictiv’s manufacturing partners to ensure on-time shipment arrivals and support for any logistics requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Project Management, Quality Control, and Costing teams, to ensure seamless integration of logistics processes within the companys workflows.
• Work with the finance team to ensure compliance with pre- and post-shipment documentation, logistics partners bill payments, and support audits.
• Effectively utilize ERP systems, suggest improvements, and resolve any issues.
• Evaluate logistical data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings for Fictiv and its customers, and ensure continuous improvements in the system.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures.
• Perform other logistics-related tasks as directed by the International Logistics Manager.
  

Desired Traits, Qualifications, Education, And Experience

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

  Get Hired
• Over 7 years of experience in international logistics.
• Understanding of India’s import and export requirements and customs practices.
• Excellent knowledge of logistics processes, customer service, EXIM documentation, and customs compliance.
• Experience with HS code classification, customs duties, customs valuation, export incentive schemes, country of origin, and free trade agreements.
• Experience in vendor oversight and managing external partnerships.
• Familiarity with domestic and international shipping, especially exports to the USA by air and sea.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working extensively with cross-functional teams.
• Enjoys sharing knowledge and teaching others.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
