FinacPlus is a Great Place to Work® Certified organization — a recognition of our people first culture, collaborative environment, and focus on professional growth. We provide high-end virtual business process and technology services to leading global clients across finance, banking, mortgage, research, and data services. At FinacPlus, you’ll work with world-class talent, cutting-edge technology, and international stakeholders — while still enjoying the openness, agility, and career visibility of a fast-growing company.

About Our Client — Toorak Capital Partners
You will be part of a dedicated engineering team supporting Toorak Capital Partners, a leading U.S.-based integrated correspondent lending platform that funds residential, multifamily, and mixed-use real estate loans across the U.S. and U.K. Headquartered in Summit, New Jersey, Toorak’s leadership team brings deep expertise across real estate lending, capital markets, securitization, asset management, and credit. To date, Toorak-funded projects have renovated or stabilized housing for 9,000+ families — averaging 500+ families every month. This is a rare opportunity to build mission-critical, cloud-based mortgage technology platforms that directly support one of the most respected players in the global mortgage finance industry.

Role Overview
We are hiring a high-potential QA Automation Intern to contribute to quality engineering for enterprise-grade mortgage and lending platforms. This role is designed for candidates who want to evolve into SDET / QA Automation Engineers by working on real production systems, not academic projects.
You will gain hands-on experience in UI + API automation, validating complex financial workflows such as loan origination, underwriting, document processing, and servicing systems. The role demands a strong engineering mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to understand end-to-end system behavior.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
  • Design test scenarios and validation strategies aligned with real business workflows (loan lifecycle, underwriting decisions, document pipelines)
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks and scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • Automate end-to-end workflows including UI interactions + backend API validations
  • Execute and maintain regression, smoke, and functional test suites integrated with CI pipelines
  • Validate REST APIs using structured assertions (status codes, payload validation, schema checks)
  • Debug failures using browser dev tools, logs, network tracing, and API inspection
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproducible steps and impact analysis
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to prevent defects early (shift-left testing)
  • Contribute to test data strategy, reusable utilities, and framework improvements
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies with a focus on quality ownership, not just execution
🔹 Technical Skills
✅ Core (Must-Have – Depth Expected)
  • Strong fundamentals in software testing (SDLC, STLC, test design techniques)
  • Programming basics in JavaScript (mandatory) — ability to write logical scripts (not just syntax familiarity)
  • Understanding of web application architecture (frontend ↔ backend ↔ APIs)
  • Clear grasp of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, request/response lifecycle
☁️ Automation & Tools
  • Hands-on or academic exposure to Playwright (preferred) / Cypress / Selenium
  • Ability to understand selectors, waits, DOM interactions, and test stability issues
  • Familiarity with test structuring, assertions, and modular test design
🔗 APIs & Integration Testing
  • API testing using Postman / REST clients
  • Understanding of:
  • Request types (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
  • JSON payload validation
  • Authentication basics
⚙️ DevOps & Version Control
  • Basic experience with Git (commit, branch, PR workflows)
  • Awareness of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Understanding of how automation fits into build and deployment cycles
🗄️ Data & System Understanding
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL queries, data validation)
  • Understanding of client-server architecture and data flow across systems
📊 Observability & Debugging
  • Ability to debug using:
  • Browser DevTools
  • Network logs
  • Console errors
  • Awareness of logs and basic troubleshooting techniques
🔹 Experience Requirements
  • Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science / IT or related field
  • Must demonstrate:
  • Hands-on projects, internships, or GitHub work related to testing or automation
  • Ability to write basic scripts and understand execution flow
  • Exposure to real-world or simulated project environments is strongly preferred
🔹 What Makes a Strong Fit (High-Quality Signals)
  • Built automation scripts/projects independently (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium)
  • Looking to get Placed? Try our Placement Guarantee Plan

Demonstrates logical thinking and debugging ability, not just tool usage
  • Understands end-to-end system flow, not just UI testing
  • Shows curiosity about:
  • How systems fail
  • How to improve test reliability
  • How to reduce defects proactively
  • Has GitHub/projects showcasing code quality and structure
  • Strong ownership mindset — takes responsibility for test quality, not just execution
🔹 What You Will Gain
  • Real-world exposure to FinTech mortgage platforms used in production
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright + JavaScript automation at scale
  • Understanding of UI + API integrated testing strategies
  • Exposure to CI/CD-driven quality engineering practices
  • Mentorship from experienced QA and engineering leaders
  • Strong pathway into QA Automation Engineer / SDET roles
  • Potential full-time conversion based on performance
🔹 Why Join FinacPlus
  • 🌟 Great Place to Work® Certified — high-performance, collaborative culture
  • 🌍 Work on global financial platforms (US & UK markets)
  • 🤝 Exposure to cross-functional product, engineering, and DevOps teams
  • ⚖️ Hybrid work model with strong work-life balance
  • 📈 Fast-track learning environment with real ownership
  • 💡 Opportunity to contribute to enterprise-grade systems with real business impact
🔹 Final Note
This is not a passive internship.
