Financial Controller

Role Brief

The Financial Controller will oversee all financial activities, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and lead the financial team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance, especially within the fintech or forex industry.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the companys growth objectives.Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of atleast 5-10 accountants.Foster a high-performance culture within the finance team.Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.Identify and mitigate financial risks.Manage the budgeting process, including setting budgets, monitoring performance, and reporting variances.Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support business decisions.Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, including SAP.Streamline financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.Act as the primary point of contact for financial matters with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, regulatory bodies, finance/audit professionals and accounting partners.Advise Board of Directors on the financial implications of business activities and capital structure.Manage and regularly report cash flow to the Board.Manage relationship with internal or external
Qualifications and Experience:Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, with a significant portion in the fintech or forex industry.Proven experience in a similar role within a financial service or fintech firm.Extensive experience with SAP and other financial management systems.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of accountants.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of EU financial regulations and frameworks would be an advantage.
