Job Description
- Role Overview:
As the Deputy General Manager ESG at VFS Global, you will play a crucial role in driving the execution of the company's sustainability strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to partner with stakeholders to establish and achieve impactful targets, policies, and initiatives that support VFS Global's ambitious ESG commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of VFS Global's sustainability strategy and associated policies, ensuring alignment with the organization's business objectives.
- Gather, verify, and organize data necessary for sustainability reporting, ESG disclosures, and external ratings. Respond to information requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide monthly updates on sustainability initiatives, highlighting progress, key achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about evolving legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices related to sustainability and ESG compliance. Advise on required actions.
- Ensure organizational adherence to applicable ESG standards and frameworks through continuous monitoring and proactive risk management.
- Assist in planning and executing sustainability projects in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Ensure impactful delivery with strong stakeholder engagement.
- Drive ESG-related training and awareness initiatives throughout the organization to promote a culture of sustainability and continuous learning.
- Support the development and implementation of a Green House Gas (GHG) Emissions data management framework.

- Promote the judicious use of natural resources and adhere to the company's environment, health, and safety policies and guidelines.
- Follow the Anti-Bribery Management Systems (ABMS) roles and responsibilities detailed in the ABMS manual. Understand ethical standards and the importance of integrity in business practices. Identify and evaluate bribery risks in various business contexts.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduate or postgraduate degree (or global equivalent) with a preferred focus or certification in Sustainability, Environmental Data Management, ESG, or a related field.
- 10-12 years of experience in a sustainability-related role within a corporate organization or consultancy, with proven exposure to ESG strategies, reporting, or project implementation.,
