Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller. The Controller will be the senior CA in the finance team and act as the custodian of financial discipline and compliance across FFI. This role ensures robust financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (India & overseas entities). It will also provide hands-on guidance to the operational finance staff and oversee engagement with auditors, tax consultants, and other external advisors

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with hands-on expertise in taxation, financial reporting, treasury management, finance compliance, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Own and oversee timely and accurate preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Ensure compliance with Ind-AS / IGAAP and maintain audit-ready books of accounts
• Oversee general ledger, sub-ledgers, and reconciliations; ensure all entries are accurate and documented
• Coordinate group consolidation and reporting for parent company and subsidiaries
• Drive accurate equity accounting, ESOP accounting and valuation, and related disclosures
• Preserve and improve the overall integrity and performance of FFIs finance function

Compliance & Statutory Management

• Ensure adherence to Companies Act, MCA filings, FEMA, RBI, and other relevant statutory laws
• Lead audit processes including statutory audit, internal audit, JSox compliance audits, and group-level financial audits ensuring all deliverables are met on time
• 
  Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and TP advisors to ensure accurate and compliant filings and representations

Taxation & Transfer Pricing

• Oversee and review all Direct and Indirect Tax (GST, TDS, Advance Tax, etc.) compliance and filings
• Manage Transfer Pricing (TP) compliance and documentation for cross-border transactions
• Work closely with tax consultants to ensure accurate positioning, minimize risks, and optimize tax efficiency

Treasury & Cash Management

• Oversee treasury operations - including loan tracking, repayments, covenants, and cash-flow forecasting
• Monitor working capital: receivables, payables, and inventory (if applicable) to ensure liquidity and optimize fund usage
• Ensure timely loan repayments, interest computations, and compliance with banking requirements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and lenders

Internal Controls & Risk Management

• Strengthen and enforce internal financial controls (IFC), including policies and SOPs for approvals, maker-checker protocols, and reporting
• Ensure adherence to JSox and group-level control requirements
• Identify and mitigate risks related to revenue recognition, expense accruals, compliance gaps, and audit observations

Business Support & Strategic Finance

• Partner with the CEOs office and/or SVP Finance in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support in preparing financial models for strategic initiatives, M&A, and capital allocation decisions
• Provide insights to senior management to drive operational efficiency and profitable growth

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to finance team members (AP, reporting, tax, AR, GST intimations, etc)
• Foster collaboration between finance and other functions (HR, Ops, Sales) for seamless compliance and reporting
• Build capability in the team for succession and scalability

Key Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA)- Preferred
• 5 to 12 years of progressive experience in accounting, audit, financial analysis or related discipline, preferred in IT Services industry but not mandatory
• Proven track record in financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit management
• Strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards, Direct & Indirect Tax, TP regulations, Companies Act, Ind-AS, and international reporting norms
• Experience in treasury management, cash-flow forecasting, and loan compliance
• Exposure to ESOP accounting, equity tracking, and consolidation for multi-entity groups
• Hands-on experience in working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, D365, Oracle) and advanced Excel / BI tools
• Exceptional stakeholder management (auditors, banks, consultants) and ability to lead and mentor teams
• Detail-oriented, process-driven, and adept at working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Preferred Attributes:

• Prior experience in companies with JSox compliance or subsidiary reporting to global HQ
• Exposure to M&A processes or Post Merger integration
• Ability to balance strategic insight with hands-on execution
