Junior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Reporting to Lead QA and collaborating with software and product designers to understand QA parameters suitable for entry-level work.

• Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate basic testing activities across the development lifecycle with guidance from the QA Lead.


• Assist in developing, executing, and maintaining test automation frameworks and scripts using open-source tools, under supervision.


• Create, document, and maintain clear, comprehensive test plans and test cases with mentorship.


• Monitor third-party plugins, NuGet packages, libraries, JS plugins, and dependencies; assist with updates and note any breaking changes.


• Produce monthly summaries that include basic code coverage insights, bug trends, and progress toward KPIs, reporting to the QA Lead.
  


• Assist with AI testing tasks, including model validation, input/output checks, and basic accuracy verification of ML/AI components under guidance.


• Work with external entities (3rd party integrations, tech partners, and customers) to understand roles and responsibilities beyond internal tasks.


• Investigate and report causes of test failures and bugs, and help implement corrective actions in coordination with the QA Lead.


• Aid in regression, integration, unit, usability, and system testing across multi-component systems.


• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, product managers, and business stakeholders to support software quality objectives.


• Maintain QA documentation, including test plans, defect reports, test automation reports, quality metrics, and audit-ready materials.

• Stay current with QA tools, emerging test methodologies, and industry trends.


• Create testing documents and checklists as part of standard QA processes.


• Troubleshoot quality issues and adjust test procedures as needed, updating the QA Lead on progress.


• Conduct basic analysis checks on product specifications.


• Create Quality Assurance reports for the QA Lead and management.


• Support successful deployment of products into the market across environments (Cloud, On-premises, mobile, API, etc.).
