Sales Specialist - Compute & Data Center HPC/AI

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Sales Specialist to join our Compute & Data Center team. The Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving sales of servers and data center solutions across GBMD's core compute vendor portfolio using vendor configuration tools and effectively managing stock and order backlog. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of server technology, strong sales skills, and experience selling multi-vendor compute solutions through a reseller/SI channel.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to promote Computing servers and data center products to resellers and SI partners within the assigned territory.
• Utilize vendor configuration tools to customize solutions based on client requirements and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams — Product Management, technical support, and logistics — to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of server solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert on compute technology, providing guidance and recommendations to resellers and SIs on product selection, configuration, and deployment across the three vendor lines.
  
• Monitor server stock levels and work closely with vendors and the purchasing team to optimize inventory management and ensure product availability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with reseller and SI partners, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across the compute portfolio, including storage and software attach.
• Track deals from LPO/PO through to invoicing, ensuring accurate pipeline and monthly exit reporting.
• Stay up to date on industry trends in server and data center technology, including AI infrastructure, to provide clients with informed advice and recommendations.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of server technology, including hardware components, configurations, and specifications.
• Experience working with server configuration tools and software to customize solutions for clients.
• Familiarity with server stock management practices and inventory control processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with reseller/SI partners.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Preferred Expertise

Proven sales experience in IT distribution, Computing product lines and the GCC reseller/SI channel.
