Description:
Business Development Manager Government System Integrator (SI)
Location: Mumbai | Department: Sales & Business Development
Drive business growth in India's government and public sector through strategic partnerships with System Integrators (SIs). This role demands a proactive leader to identify opportunities across ministries and PSUs, manage the full sales cycle from RFPs to closure via GeM, NIC, and eProcurement portals, and consistently achieve revenue targets while collaborating with pre-sales teams on tailored IT solutions like ICT infrastructure, Cloud, and Networking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue business opportunities with government departments, PSUs, OEMs, and consultants to build a robust pipeline.

- Lead end-to-end sales processes: lead generation, proposal development, pricing, tender bidding, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Monitor government tenders, projects, and empanelments on platforms like GeM, NIC, and eProcurement; ensure timely submissions and compliance.
- Foster long-term relationships with key decision-makers in ministries and PSUs to secure repeat business and referrals.
- Partner with pre-sales and technical teams to design RFP-compliant solutions in ICT, Cloud, Networking, and Security domains.
- Track performance against revenue targets, pipeline health, and provide regular reports on business metrics and competitor insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally for bid management, documentation, and adherence to government procurement policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate in Engineering, IT, Electronics, or equivalent; MBA preferred.

- 5-10 years of proven experience in Business Development/Sales within the Government vertical, ideally with SIs or OEMs.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets in complex government projects and tenders.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of government procurement processes, tendering, and portals (GeM, NIC, eProcurement).
- Strong networking, relationship-building, and negotiation skills for high-stake public sector deals.
- Expertise in IT solutions (ICT Infrastructure, Cloud, Networking, Security) with strategic business acumen.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
