Assistant Finance Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to manage end-to-end accounting, statutory compliance, and cash flow operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in accounts payable and receivable management, statutory return preparation and filing, and maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with GAAP. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Prior experience in an audit firm will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and Record-to-Report (R2R) activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Oversee cash flow management, daily fund monitoring, cash flow forecasting, and optimal fund utilization.
• Handle statutory compliances including TDS, GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9), PF, ESI, and Professional Tax filings.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP): vendor invoice verification, payments, aging analysis, and reconciliations.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR): invoicing, collections, customer reconciliations, and aging analysis.
• Maintain books of accounts in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Perform financial statement analysis (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to support management decisions.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders during audits and reviews.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and continuous process improvements.

Additional Skills Required

• Strong experience in accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally Prime, Zoho Books, and SAP. and advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, reconciliations) and MS Office applications.
• Strong verbal communication for coordination with internal teams, auditors, and consultants
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 3 years experience with ICWA Inter / ICAI Inter / M.Com / MBA OR
• 5 years experience with B.Com / BBA
• Preference will be given to candidates with audit firm experience
